Running a Spatial Query

You can build a spatial query on the map that lets you display projects within a certain distance of a point on the map. For example, you may want to locate all projects within 50 miles of Charleston.

To build a spatial query:

  1. View the map. See Interactive Map for information.
  2. Pan or zoom the map, if needed. See Zooming and Panning the Map for information.
  3. Click Spatial Query. Spatial Query button The Spatial Query widget displays.

  4. Select the option to Use Data From Search or Use All Data.
  5. Enter the miles for the distance you want to display projects from a specific point.
  6. Click Click Map and then click on the map in the location you want to run the query.
  7. Projects within the specific distance display on the map within a buffered circle.

    The Results panel shows the name of the project or projects contained within the query area.
