Getting Directions
You can plot a route based on two addresses as well as define a buffer along a route that will return all the projects contained within the buffer. Driving directions to the locations within the buffer can also be provided.
To Get Directions:
- Click the Map link. The Search page will display.
- Click Add Filter. Add a filter to display projects.
- Click Get Directions. The window is re-directed to the mapping page and the Get Directions widget is displayed.
- In the Get Directions widget, leave the buffer distance and unit default as is. Enter a starting address as Location 1.
- Enter an ending address as Location 2.
- Click Get Route.
- In the Results pane, click the X next to all Lat/Long values if they exist to remove them from the list. Once all the Lat/Long values are removed, the Get Directions widget will "work" by showing a rotating circle icon. The widget will then display turn by turn directions.
- Click Print to print the directions.
To add another destination:
- Click the widget menu to return to the Location input.
- Click Add Location.
- Enter a new location and click Get Route.
- Again, remove any Lat/Long coordinates and the turn by turn directions will display.
- Click the Driving Directions drop-down to view other direction types such as: walking time/distance, trucking time/distance, etc.
- Click Show More Options to see specific options to alter your directions.
